This section of the workshop helps young people learn how to face new challenges positively by collecting information, looking for help, making responsible choices and taking action. It highlights ways in which they can manage risks to their emotional health and wellbeing.

Students are encouraged to ways of keeping physically and emotionally safe in their surroundings. Students find out and discuss how to recognise risky or negative relationships including all forms of bullying and abuse.

Students explore the importance of empathy and the power of positive and negative words. They are helped to identify how their actions affect themselves and others and to care about other people’s feelings.
